ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Kari Siler, a mixed media artist located in Laramie, WY. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Wyoming in 2012.

I worked as an Art Instructor at the Cooper Center for Creative Arts from 2014-2020. I am now focused on working as a professional artist creating series as well as commissions.

In the city of Laramie, I have painted two murals. "Creative Growth" on the back of the Cooper Center which was a collaborative effort with the students of the Cooper Center, myself, and another instructor.

The second was the "Gill Street Extension". This was also a collaboration with over 13 artists who painted their own fish. It is an extension of the Gill Street Mural behind Downtown Coal Creek. Featured left is my fish in the alley called "Lime Pink Lemonade".

I often show my artwork at the Cooper Center for Creative Arts and throughout Laramie over the years.

I hope to spread art through the community through more murals and exhibits.

ABOUT MY ART

I focus on animals in mostly Wyoming that are often killed simply for existing. I create works featuring the creepy crawlies of Wyoming to express my feelings for them.

Many people hate spiders, ants, wasps, and moths, but they are important to all life on Earth. I show this by creating colorful artworks that highlight their beauty.
